Welcome to Home Assist Community Services, where we provide a range of non-ongoing Handyman and General Maintenance services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). Our goal is to assist older individuals in living independently and safely within their homes and communities. Please note that all our services are subject to funding and eligibility requirements.

Handyman and General Maintenance Services

Our skilled team of professionals is here to address your basic electrical and plumbing needs, ensuring that your home remains functional and secure. Some of the services we offer include:

  1. Changing or replacing light bulbs (material charges apply)
  2. Supply and servicing of smoke alarms, including batteries (material charges apply)
  3. Minor electrical services, such as repairs to light switches, power points, and ceiling fans (material charges apply)
  4. Minor plumbing services for tap washers, leaks, and blocked drains (material charges apply)
  5. Repairs and replacement of hot water systems (conditions apply)
  6. Appliance repairs for washing machines, fridges, air conditioners, ovens, and stoves (conditions apply, no white goods replacement)
  7. Basic locksmith services for broken locks
  8. Glazing services in the event of a broken window (conditions apply)
  9. Security work, including the installation of key safes, sensor lights, and security screens
  10. Gutter cleaning services (conditions apply)
  11. Safety clean services for the immediate area of your kitchen or bedroom
  12. Assistance with turning a mattress
  13. Basic lawn mowing services around the entry and exit points of your home (excluding acreage)

Service Limitations

While we strive to address a wide range of maintenance needs, it’s important to note the following limitations:

  • We do not remove rubbish or palm fronds.
  • Client contributions apply to this service.
  • We do not offer beautification or painting services.
